Adult Education
This class has been studying lessons built around the Lectionary for the five Sundays in Lent. So far we have studied temptation, atonement, why bad things happen to good people, and repentance. This Sunday, March 2nd, Rebecca Gholston will be leading a class on the Seder Dinner, the elements involved, and the significance of each. (It has been rumored that she is going to have the elements prepared to show you!) Even though there is a called Congregational Meeting on the 2nd at 10:00 a.m., there will STILL be Sunday school so hurry on over to the Williams Educational Building as soon as the meeting is over. We will just get started a little late. There are still lessons for Lent coming up, so please come join us each Sunday morning at 10:00 a.m. If you have any questions, please call Carol Ellis at 903-378-7375.
Coffee Talk The newest adult Sunday school class "Coffee Talk" got off to a great start on February 17th. Frenzee's is the perfect spot with good coffee and sometimes even some goodies on the side. Right now, Mary Wells is leading the group and we are studying and discussing the Ten Commandments. Discussions have been lively, the coffee great, and the atmosphere cozy. Even though there is a called Congregational Meeting, Sunday the 2nd, we will still be having "Coffee Talk". We will just get started a little bit later than usual. On a normal Sunday, "Coffee Talk" starts at 10:00 a.m. and ends at 10:45 a.m. giving everyone plenty of time to either come from our early 9:00 service or get back in time for the 11:00 service. Bring a friend and come join us to talk about the scriptures over a good cup of coffee. If you have any questions, please call Carol Ellis at 903-378-7375.
